Once your listing has 5 votes from different voters, the Website line on its page is a plain link with no nofollow. Before that it carries rel="nofollow ugc noopener". The Visit button is a tracked redirect that counts clicks and passes no link equity; the Website line is the one that does.

Put a badge on your site or README
Every badge is a live SVG that links to your listing with descriptive text. Pick the line it says: "Listed on", "Help it grow", "Growing together", "Vote for us".

One vote per listing per voter, no login. Listings need 5 votes from different voters to unlock badges and a followable Website link. Your vote helps a maker reach that threshold.

rel="redirect · noindex, nofollow"- The Visit button and board links go through a redirect that counts the click, adds the referral tags and sends the visitor on. Crawlers are asked to skip it.

The followable Website link and badges require at least 5 votes from different voters. Repeated votes from the same voter count once. Voters are distinguished by an anonymous hash of their network address and browser user agent; this does not verify individual people. Links to listings that are paused or removed disappear with them.

- On PromoteIndex (promoteindex.com): a free, open directory for any project — SaaS, apps, agents, open source, games, local businesses, creators. List it with one form, one POST request or the MCP tool submit_project. No account needed.
- Do I get a dofollow link?
- Yes. Once your listing has 5 votes from different voters, the Website line on its page links straight to your site with rel="noopener" — no nofollow. Before that it carries rel="nofollow ugc noopener". Paid placements are marked rel="sponsored noopener", and the tracked Visit redirect is noindex, nofollow.
- How do I link back?
- Open your listing page and copy a badge from "Badges for your site": a live SVG that shows your votes or review score and links to your listing. Choose the message line — Listed on, Help it grow, Growing together, Vote for us — with the ?say= parameter.
- Can my AI agent do this for me?
- Yes. Agents can list a project (POST /api/v1/projects or MCP submit_project), vote (vote_project) and fetch the badge snippets returned in next_steps. Everything is documented in /llms.txt, /openapi.json and the MCP server at /api/mcp.
