I'm the developer of MacClean, a local Mac utility. If WeChat photos and videos are taking up space, you can review them by type and month, then select what you no longer need. Supported media can also be grouped by conversation folder with your own labels; the app does not read chat message databases. Scans and result viewing are free. Full features have a 7-day trial, then cleaning needs a one-time paid license. macOS 14+, Apple silicon and Intel. Ordinary files go to Trash and still occupy space until emptied. Keep important attachments before cleaning. MacClean is not Apple notarized yet; installation details are on the official site.
