"description": "Bring a question, source files and a project goal to Orkas, an open-source, local-first desktop AI workforce. Commander plans the steps and coordinates specialist agents through one chat. DeepResearcher can develop a cited research brief, OfficeWorker can work with documents and data, and PptMaker can carry the findings into an editable presentation.\n\nKeep project instructions, selected Library sources, memory and reusable skills together for later work. Inspect and adapt the MIT-licensed desktop source, connect your own supported model provider with an API key or a compatible local endpoint, or choose Orkas-managed models. Project materials stay local by default; remote model requests and enabled external services have their own data paths.\n\nPackaged desktop builds are available for macOS and Windows; Linux requires building from source. The core app is free. Model usage and optional official services may cost extra.",
